Kounsel is an app that helps you connect with skilled counselors in real time, anywhere in the world. Here, you can find experts in different health fields and legal situations. Also, if you are a professional in any of these areas, you can offer your services online as a counselor.

How do you obtain professional services from Kounsel’s counselors?

If you are feeling a little under the weather or have legal questions, you can find help for your situation or someone ready and willing to answer all your questions in Kounsel.

Download the app for Android or iOS and create an account for free. Then, select a category that best matches the service you want to receive. You will see a list of counselors based on skills or professions. Filter your options on the left to get more precise results.

You can filter by location, rate, language, type of service, rating, and status and narrow down your options. By clicking on a counselor’s profile, you can learn more about them and view their availability for an appointment. Select a date and time that works for you, and click “Book appointment.”

Pay for your session from the app using a linked PayPal account or credit card. You will not receive additional charges from Kounsel. And don’t worry about international charges if you use our phone service, since none will be applied.

All you have to do is wait for your appointment and kick off your counseling sessions!

Requirements

  • A valid license issued by a state authority in your specialty.
  • A smartphone (Android/iPhone) with a stable internet connection and clear audio/video capacity.

Documents

  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • A valid license in your specialty.

Signup process

  • Apply online or through the Kounsel app by completing a counselor profile.
  • Submit any required documents.
  • Pass a Screening/Background check.

What else do you need to know to become a counselor?

  • Currently, we are only accepting counselors in the US, but we will expand to other countries in due time.
  • You do not have to commit exclusively to Kounsel; you can also work other jobs.
  • You are in charge of your own rate, meaning that only you decide on the amount.
  • At Kounsel, we work very hard to promote the app so that you and all of our registered counselors can get as many clients as possible.
